-what happened in B.C.
The aboriginal accidently found out about Canada the place and countrey I live in. So once they found it they dicided to live there and call it there own. For over 10,000 years Aboriginal people have lived in B.C. These days there are about 200,000 Aboriginal people liveing in B.C that's crazyyyyy to me!
-Tell me about aboriginal culture.
Some of the aboriginal people would use moose or deer antlers to rake leaves while hunting. Aboriginal people would have a name such as Indians but now that would be incorrect to say. There cultures have bin going on for thousands of years it's cool how it is still going on there cultures. Contemporary geopolitical borders in North Amarica do not reflect (and often overlap) traditional Aboriginal lands.
-What were residential schools?
Residential schools are very scary. You get abused by the nuns and or the sisters. The boys and girls get seporated to not learn together the kids also have to sleep and live there just like us at school but we don't live there. They don't get meals that come from love and kindness like your parents at home give you they get food that they probably don't like. They clean and do chores on the weekends.
-what happened to families?
For the families that had to put there kids in Residential schools I think the parents that did not go to the schools would be not sad but maybe they might cause they don't get to see there kids for a while. I also think that the parents that went to the school will be scared cause maybe the kids will be so fed up that they would want to comitsuisied because the school is terrible.
-whose land are we on?
I think we might be on the Coast Salish region of Canada
1) What did you learn about in Aboriginal Education this year?
I learned about lots of stuff. I learned about Residential schools how they are bad and no matter what you had to go it's the law! For Aboriginals they can believe in what ever they want like the Spirit bear, most of them did. Aboriginals people still live to these days we also live on the Coast Salish and the the people that live on it are Aboriginals too.
Self Regulation is what keeps track of your Emotions and Behavior. Emotions. we have this chart in the class room that has green happy, blue sad, yellow worried and red mad. there is also the emotions from Inside Out. (Sadness, Joy, Anger, Fear and Disgust). What else is Self Regulation? It is also a way to calm and clear your mind. It is also relaxation so you can calm your mind so you can think strate. :) It keeps your polse moving and healthy.
Why is Self Regulation imoprtent? It is importent because it keeps our every day lives healthy. It also is good because it has our emotions so like is we are happy or sad it shows it so we can jump around with exitment for happy. And or we can cry for sad.
For Touching Spirit Bear questions I picked B. How do you think Peter Driscal's family feels?
I think Peters parents are really mad at Cole because that is not good. As it said in the book Peter wakes up screaming every night from a night mare that has to do with the insadent. Peter is probable really scared, sad or even angry at Cole. Peter also has a soft and slow voice because of all the ingereies that he sufored. Peter suffores seriace damage and went to the hospital. If someone ever did this to my kid I would be very, very angry at that kid! That would cost a couple of hundred dollars for recovary. I would sue the person no mater what that is bad what if the kid could have died. And for Peter he could have died or even got a cracked or smashed head. If you ever did well who am I kidding don't do that that's mean and consitered bullying. or you can get in really bad trouble.
I hope you like my blog on Aboriginal Education or Touching Spirit Bear. You should read the book its a good Novel Touching Spirit Bear. And remember kids to hurt anyone even if they were mean to you or told on you.
Global Issue is something bad happening in the world such as Animal Crulety, Child Labor and many more. Global Issue is like I said it is something that is happening all around the world and it is issues that are something that can kill someone or can happen to animals. If I had to go any were or learn about a global issue for traveling I would stop child labour it is terrible in soooooooo many ways. The adults abuse kids but they pretend to be nice to the kids and the adults threten the kids not to tell anyone what the adults do to them. Now the one for what I would what to learn about I would learn about caged animals so I can help them but an example on where caged animals are all over the world are ...... Zoos they are every were in the world. So this is terrible animals should get freedom just like us humans but not people in jail because they are there for a resson. For Child labour I would learn about this then travel all around the world and stop it from happening because it is mean and kids should have freedom just like caged animals. Who is imvolved in these issues are mostly adults they lock up animals, hurt kids (child labour), and many more. Where does this happen it happens all over the world but if you look up global issues it say where it started and when. Why do people do this you probable think well they do it to get money or they do it because they want to and I think it is very, Very, VERY mean. My opinion to Global Issues is that it can kill people, give people a sickness, start a war with econame and many more thank you for reading my blog I hope you like it.
